Matsuharu is by far the BEST ramen in El Paso! No matter which ramen you order the broth is always so flavorful, the noodles are cooked perfectly and the toppings all together always make the perfect bite. The spicy miso chashumen as well as the paitan ramen are some of my personal favorites. The spicy miso is HOT and super addicting! The paitan is rich with flavor from the pork/chicken broth. The staff is always very polite and friendly, and they always have Japanese movies and game shows playing. I have been coming here for years and they impress me more and more every time! The wait is long most of the time, but it is SO worth it! The food is made with quality which is why it usually takes a while. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in El Paso.

There is a wait, especially when busy but time flies by with good company! I've been going for 3 years and my husband even longer. The food and the people are absolutely lovely. It's a very cozy, home-cooked meal kind of place! We're out of state and still try making it down as often as we can!

Worth the wait! Some times the wait time is slow but itÒ€ℒs absolutely worth it! The noodles are amazing and so is pretty much every appetizer they have. Highly recommend get there early as soon as they open to get in fast.

Don't let this small place out in what seems to be a run down area stop you from coming here. Staff is friendly and food is good. I recommend this spot to everyone looking to satisfy their craving for Japanese food. This is by far the best Japanese restaurant in the area.

Best Japanese food I have tasted. The staff treats you like family. We have been there alone and we have been there when it is packed. The food is always fabulous. Have not tried something here I don't enjoy to the last bite. They no longer serve sushi but their Ramen is excellent. Only down fall is their hours vary a lot and only accept cash. Well worth it when it is open!!!update: finally remembered to take a picture. love it here! I requested extra egg in the ramen!

Little gem hidden in EP north. If you are looking for authentic Japanese cuisine this is the spot. They no longer serve sushi but the noodles and other plates they have are delicious! Great prices oh and dont forget to bring cash! They do not accept card

Great ramen bowls and a nice selection of different bowls. Cash only so make sure you have cash on hand before. Kids love it and so does the parents.

While the food was very good and they serve plenty of it, unfortunately, the wait was very long to get anything served once you're seated. They were apologetic, but surprisingly they charged me for a teaspoonful of chili powder where they could have said it was on the house to make up for the long wait. Also, there are credit cards signs on both the windows and door before you enter. Those are misleading because they don't accept credit cards, so I had to drive to the nearest ATM to get cash. I would definitely return, but it was just a bad first impression having nothing to do with the food, and I was greatly inconvenienced by having to leave and come back to pay with cash.

Yes they do a few types if I remember right.

It's still open

Well it all started with this corporation that it was working at (let's call it 'X'). X had stumbled upon a dark secret that the corporation was hiding. A secret so huge that it could drastically alter the course of all life on Earth. The company found out and sent an elite group of assassins to silence X. Hours passed...and then days. They were closing in on their target. Cornered, X had no other choice than to fight back. It was no easy battle. Numerous episodes came and went showing how each side powered up only to culminate to a fight scene lasting a couple seconds. It was a glorious couple of seconds ending with X as the victor. Badly injured X made it's way to Matsuharu Japanese Restaurant. It needed a place to hide and heal from it's wounds...before the next...battle...

likely because the food is amazing and the resturaunt is family run. bring some cards or something to pass the time as you wait.

No, they don't serve sushi.

No they do not but the trip is worth while. The wait will not b that bad its in the weekends . A must go.
